• Cathedral Caves Access Now Open

The Trust advise that access to Cathedral Caves is now possible through the second entrance only. 
Continued access will be dependent on weather conditions and in the event of rough seas and high tides the access gate may be closed at short notice.

Every effort will be made to notify closure however in some cases the only notification will be on the sign boards at the Southern Scenic Route entrance.

Do you own a batch, crib, holiday home or rental property which is standing empty in Clutha Country or The Catlins which you would be willing to let victims of the Canterbury earthquake stay in or at for a little while at no charge? If your answer is yes please contact Mary at Christchurch City Council on 03 941 8999 to leave your contact details and some one from the Civil Defence team in Canterbury will get in touch with you and discuss terms and conditions directly with you.
